After the statistical report came out that Microsoft sold a total of 6.6 million Xbox One consoles in 2014, raking in a revenue amount of $26.5 billion in the process, the tech giant is aiming to improve the overall console gaming experience for its merry phalanx of Xbox One console owners. In order to do this, the company is currently working on rolling out an update that will be directed toward the Xbox One controllers.

Previously, Xbox One users would have to wait from four to five seconds after turning on the controller for it to sync with the console. After the update, the total time that it would take for the Xbox One controllers to sync to the system will reportedly be reduced to two seconds. 

While the process of updating the controller is straightforward, some console owners still make the mistake of not following the instructions laid down by Microsoft. After the update has been officially launched, users will be required to attach their Xbox One controller to their console through a USB cable. After attaching the controller in place, users will need to navigate toward the lower section of the Xbox One menu, where they will be able to download and install the update without running into any difficulty.

In addition to the time reduction, the latest update will also be bringing in stability improvements. Also, not long ago, it was revealed that Microsoft planned to give more freedom to game developers by unlocking the CPU core in order to deliver additional performance in future gaming titles.

So far, Microsoft has been doing well to appease the requirements of gamers but the company's upcoming DirectX 12 API is expected to provide more performance and higher energy efficiency.
