The "Chinese Mythology" downloadable content (DLC) has been officially released for the console ports of "Minecraft," and along with the new content comes a brand new trailer that showcases how each of the new main components works and what gamers can expect if they wanted to add the DLC to their game.

Titled "Banners, Blocks, Beets and Bears," the trailer showcases some of the new elements included in the DLC. The banners, in particular, are shown, and it is revealed that assembling and placing a banner is a very intricate process. Players can choose from a wide variety of designs, stands, and colors to create the exact kind of banner needed.

As stated in a report by Cinema Blend, these banners can work in a similar manner as the sign boards in the game. A simple banner can inform other players what they may find in a specific area, or it can showcase ownership over a castle or other forms of fortification.

However, the "Chinese Mythology" DLC also comes with a lot of new blocks and new sections that will celebrate the titular Oriental theme. Unfortunately, it is noted that an exact list of all the new blocks has not been released by Mojang, and players will simply need to boot up the game to see what's new.

A new food item, the beet, can be grown in farms and then harvested or eaten on the spot. The benefits of the beet in-game are yet to be fully disclosed, although players who have already purchased the DLC may have already begun experimenting with it. Polygon does note that the beets can be used for soup which heals the player.

Bears, such as the new polar bear spawn, can be seen roaming the wilderness. Polar bears will be found in the snow biomes.

The "Chinese Mythology Mash Up" DLC pack for Xbox One, Wii U, and PS4 costs $4.99.
