Persistent speculations about the release date of the Xbox One and Playstation 4 versions of Minecraft implied that it will happen sometime this August, yet the developers claim that there are ongoing bug fixes that are keeping them from announcing the scheduled launch officially.

Minecraft's game developer company 4J Studios used Twitter to make their statements regarding this matter.

"We're still fixing #MinecraftXbox1, #MinecraftPS4 and #MinecraftPSVita bugs. We'll let you know when we hand over to the Cert testing teams!" the developer posted on their Twitter account.

There are other rumors that have already circulated saying that the game will not be launched in the market until the last weeks of September this year. Mojang's Daniel Kaplan told OXM that the game will have an added server options that could be available to Minecraft Xbox One edition if that happened.

In addition, the game handlers could also be granted access to the Xbox Live cloud using the Azure servers of Microsoft, letting the players have their files saved online.

4J Studios also tweeted that they decided to close down their development projects of the game's Xbox 360 version to make way for the newest generations of gaming consoles.

According to an article posted on Latin Post, the developer is supposed to launch thrilling updates for the game to its Xbox One version such as a bigger world as well as the capability to handle up to eight players at the same time, with the possibility to support more players in the future.

The worlds that players had created in the Xbox 360 version as well as the skins that they have bought could also be imported in its Xbox One version.

Those who have purchased Minecraft in Xbox 360 can take advantage of the discounted price of $4.99 if they buy the Xbox One version, which is said to be priced at $19.99.
