'Mistresses' season 4 cast news: Alyssa Milano still not returning

Alyssa Milano is officially not reprising her role as Savannah in "Mistresses" season 4. The actress chose to leave even though the production was already moved back to Los Angeles. The previous two seasons were filmed in Vancouver.

Milano skipped the third season of the show as she did not want to move out of Los Angeles to Vancouver for the shoot. Her family, which she needs to frequently attend to, especially that she has two babies, lives in LA.

But despite the set now accessible to her, Milano is still foregoing starring in "Mistress" season 4. Milano first skipped the show's third season. Jennifer Esposito stepped in to fill the void but the actress announced that she, too, will not be returning.

"It's with a heavy heart that I have decided that I can't relocate. I have two babies under 4. Being a mother and wife comes first, and I just cannot uproot my children and separate the family by moving away. I will miss this job desperately and wish everyone the absolute best," Milano said via Deadline a year back.

While Milano is not returning full-time to "Mistresses" season 4, TV Line reports that she is open to making a guest appearance on the show. This should be ideal to her as she can both work and be with her family still.

Meanwhile, Esposito's exit has prompted ABC to promote Tabrett Bethell to a bigger role in "Mistresses" season 4. Bethell is known on the show as Kate, who only appeared once back in the drama's second season.

Her return is set to shake up Harry and Joss's relationship as Kate will be re-emerging from Australia looking for true love. She will also factor in many of the catfights fans will see in the new season.

"Mistresses" season 4 has no release date set yet.
