'Mistresses' season 3 spoilers preview: Joss' plan to takedown Luca backfires in episode 7

Joss' plans to catch Luca cheating turns awry in the upcoming episode of "Mistresses." ABC

Strange times are coming up in the next episode of ABC's sexy mystery drama "Mistresses," Cartermatt reports.

In "The Best Laid Plans," Joss' (Jess Macallan) plans on thwarting Luca (Noam Jenkins) will backfire. In the promo, Joss will do a bit of reconnaissance work in order to prove that Luca is a cheater. The real estate agent will be teaming up with Calista (Jennifer Esposito) to takedown the man who manipulated the latter into signing her accessories line to him. The situation, however, will take a turn for the worse, as she will end up way over her head.

The other mistresses will also be busy in episode 7. TV Guide reveals that Karen (Yunjin Kim) will reach "unexplored territory" with Alec (Ed Quinn) while Vivian (Sonja Bennett) is out of town. April (Rochelle Aytes) will deal with past demons when her mother Marjorie comes to visit. Meanwhile, Harry's (Brett Tucker) sexy encounter with his boss' mistress Niko will surprisingly open up doors in his career.

Last episode, Calista and Joss were both feeling down in the dumps, trying to cope up with their shares of depressing situations. Calista was freaking out that she could not get Luca to break their contract. She wanted to catch him cheating so she could prove grounds for divorce, but Luca surprised her by saying he wanted to divorce her. He was planning to marry Eva (Chloe Babcook), the model-designer behind his accessories line.

Joss, for her part, was still feeling sore with her break up with Harry. In all fairness, he was also feeling blue until he saw a picture of Joss and Brad together on Instagram. He ended up flirting with a girl at the party and sleeping with her, until he learned that she was actually Ellis' girlfriend. Meanwhile, April was feeling a lot comfortable with Blair (Brian White) when a telephone call informed her that Mark (Rob Mayes) got himself arrested with the kids. To top it all off, her drunkard mother was paying her a visit.

"Mistresses" airs Thursdays at 9 p.m. EST on ABC.
