'Mobius Final Fantasy' release date for U.S. confirmed; Pre-registration bonuses include 'Final Fantasy X'-themed goodies

 Square-Enix

"Mobius Final Fantasy" will be released for North America ahead of the "Final Fantasy XV." Its pre-registration bonuses are still up for grabs.

The pre-registration period has already begun for this mobile "Final Fantasy" game. With this, North American fans will now be able to play by Aug. 3.  Players in Japan have been playing this game for the better part of a year on their iOS and Android mobile devices, so U.S. players are expected to enjoy the same.

"Mobius Final Fantasy" is about a man who awakens in the world of Palamecia, unable to remember who he was. He only has a sword and noticeably more clothing than his initial belongings. After getting a hold of himself, this man starts uncovering a mysterious prophecy concerning a legendary warrior of light who is destined to bring hope and save the world of Palamecia.

According to Game Rant, this might sound like a generic JRPG game, but its undeniable popularity in Japan, having more than a million active users for the moment, means that this game offers something more. After all, the story writer for the "Mobius Final Fantasy" is Kazushige Nojima, who also worked on the highly-acclaimed game "Final Fantasy 7" and is currently working on its upcoming remake as well.

Furthermore, the same article points out that the game will also have a crossover with "Finaly Fantasy 7" remake, since the iconic character Cloud will join the game's main character in a certain in-game event. With this, a lot of fans are considering a look because of the strong ties of "Mobius Final Fantasy" game to the fans' most beloved "Final Fantasy 7" game.

The "Mobius Final Fantasy" pre-registration bonuses will not cost anything, and it will come with distinct "Final Fantasy X"-flavored freebies such as Tidus's Brotherhood Sword as well as a Yuna Character Card among other goodies.
