In the next episode of "Modern Family," Gloria Delgado-Pritchett (Sofia Vergara), her son Manny (Rico Rodriguez), and her son-in-law Phil Dunphy (Ty Burrell) search for her grandson Luke (Nolan Gould) in a sketchy neighborhood.

The synopsis and promotional photos for the upcoming installment, which is titled "In Your Head," were released just recently, and they show Gloria, Manny, and Phil strolling through a shady neighborhood and searching for Luke. Apparently, Luke did not come home the previous night. He went on a night out with his friends in that sketchy area where some people have gone missing in the past. This is the reason why Luke's family is now adamant about finding him even though he claims that he can take care of himself. The trio continues to search and ask around the neighborhood if anyone has seen his picture.

All of a sudden, they come across a shoe which they believe belongs to Luke. They try and retrace its steps to see if it can lead to his whereabouts or at least point to his direction. It is only a matter of time until they seek help from the police. In the meantime, Haley (Sarah Hyland) is desperate to land an interview with the creator of a popular lifestyle website. She ends up interrupting Alex's (Ariel Winters) class to ask for her help to get in touch with the creator.

In the last episode, Phil experienced a health scare when he suddenly felt some stomach pains. Gloria immediately brought him to the hospital where all the other family members followed suit. His loving wife Claire (Julie Bowen) struggled to bring to him his favorite surgery bear but forgot how it looked like, apparently.

"Modern Family" season 9 episode 13 will hit the airwaves on Wednesday, Jan. 17, at 9 p.m. EST on the ABC network.
