In the next episode of "Mom," Christy (Anna Faris) makes a surprising discovery about her mom Bonnie (Allison Janney) after she gets into a minor accident and ends up temporarily in a wheelchair.

The trailer and promotional photos for the upcoming installment titled "Poodle Fuzz and a Twinge of Jealousy" was just released recently and showed Bonnie looking weak in a wheelchair while her daughter Christy takes care of her. Apparently, she got injured and needs to have some downtime in order to recover. As a result, she cannot perform her duties as the building manager therefore Christy has to take her place for the meantime. While taking care of her mom, Christy soon discovers that she may actually be a nice person at heart. "My mother does you favors?" she asks Beverly (Amy Hill), one of the building's tenants. Christy is clearly surprised.

It seems that Bonnie is a nice enough person to do favors for other people. "She just straight up apologized," Christy tells her friends at the diner. Bonnie is known for not owning up to her mistakes and apologizing for them. However, when she asks Marjorie (Mimi Kennedy) and Wendy (Beth Hall) if her mom is secretly a polite and generous person, they both reply, "No, not a chance." It remains to be seen if Bonnie's accident is what caused her to be kind to other people.

In the last episode, Christy was planning to apply for law school but the application forms were quite expensive. Bonnie then decided to stop their internet and cable subscriptions in order to save some money for the forms. Her daughter was very grateful but they both had to adjust living without those luxuries.

"Mom" season 5 episode 5 will hit the airwaves on Thursday, Nov. 30 at 10 p.m. EST on CBS.
