Monday Night Football live stream: Watch online free NY Jets vs Atlanta Falcons for ESPN subscribers [start time, schedule]

Monday Night Football will see the New York Jets face off against the Atlanta Falcons to complete week 5's schedule of games in the NFL.

It's been a crazy week 5, with 99 points exchanged in the game between the Denver Broncos and Dallas Cowboys, and the New York Giants falling to 0-5, plunging them further into crisis.

Today's Monday Night Football game should also offer a fair share of excitement, with the Falcons so far ranking as one of the best offenses in the league, but still only winning one game through the first four weeks. The Jets vs Falcons will start at 8.40 p.m. ET and can be watched on the ESPN network, or online – free for ESPN subscribers – via the link provided below.

The Falcons will be hugely disappointed with the way things have gone so far. They are 1-3, and consistently losing tight games, with good work on the offense not resulting in enough points, and a defense that is leaking too many points at important times in games.

It's hard to believe that the Falcons are ranked 3rd in the league on pass, recording 316.5 yards per game. In total yards they rank 6thin the NFL with 398.5 yards per game. However, in points scored they rank much lower in 13th, scoring an average of just 23.5 points per game.

In recent weeks they've lose 23-27 on the road to the Miami Dolphins, as well as last week 23-30 against the New England Patriots. With a bye week coming up next week they will be desperate to pull themselves back to the slightly more respectable 2-3 before their break.

The Jets meanwhile have surprised some, and come into the game on 2-2. They will be both satisfied and slightly disappointed that they have been unable to convert some good wins into a better record.

Two weeks ago they defeated the Buffalo Bills 27-20, but followed that up by being trounced by the Tennessee Titans 13-38, and they will be worried that the same leaky defense will turn up today against the Falcons. If so, they could be on the end of another bad defeat. They will have looked to address their defensive issues all week, and hope that their hard work can pay off and allow them to push back again and move to 3-2 tonight.
