"Monster Hunter Generations," known as "Monster Hunter X" in Japan, will finally launch in the U.S. this coming July 15. According to an official press release from Capcom (via Gamespot), the game will also launch simultaneously with a New 3DS XL model that comes with custom "Monster Hunter" art design. 

The New 3DS XL art is based on the "Fated Four," some of the most powerful monsters that players will encounter in the game as well as the new four fighting styles. Fans will also notice that this is a similar design to the "Monster Hunter X" New 3DS that was released in Japan in 2015.

Despite the fact that the game and the New 3DS XL coming out simultaneously they will not be sold together in a single bundle. The "Monster Hunter Generations" New 3DS XL will be sold at $199.99, as per a report from Polygon.

A playable demo is scheduled for a summer release and according to Gamespot, it is likely this demo will launch by late May or June to enable newcomers to the franchise to get acquainted with the gameplay mechanics and controls while also allowing veterans to check what is new and different, particularly in comparison to "Monster Hunter 4."

The game launched in Japan back in 2015 and it was undetermined for some time if the game would be given a US release. The franchise has been growing strong in the West, particularly after the release of "Monster Hunter 3" and "Monster Hunter 4" and the release of "Generations" guarantees the series will have a strong presence in the US.

"Monster Hunters Generations" alters the formula of the franchise by introducing four unique fighting styles that can completely change how a player approaches each encounter. There is the Aerial Style which allows players to perform combos from above, Guild Style which uses powerful charge attacks, Adept Style which gives the player the ability to quickly dodge and move around the target and the Striker Style which focuses on powerful attacks.
