With the most recent addition of Tremor to the "Mortal Kombat X" roster, speculation around whether more characters are still coming to the game is heating up.

At this point, the possibility that there are still more names to be added to the game stems from rumors, which are not entirely baseless.

Back when Tremor was finally unveiled, the game's developers at NetherRealm Studios repeatedly referred to his addition to the game as marking the end of "Kombat Pack 1." Normally, such remark would be no reason for a ruckus. However, in previous character unveilings or in instances wherein the developers were talking about the game, they would refer to the offerings simply  as "Kombat Pack."

This new designation has prompted people to predict that the game's developers are not yet through with adding characters to the game.

As for who those characters might actually be, it looks as though the rumor mill is spitting out names from every direction.

According to Design and Trend, there are already some obvious names that could be added just by virtue of looking at "Mortal Kombat X" itself. There are storyline opponents such as Baraka, Rain, and Sindel who already come furnished with moves but who are not yet playable. The game's developers could, in theory, easily append those three new figures to the roster.

Another batch of characters being looked at as possible additions includes the ones who show up as cinematic figures in the game. The likes of Bo' Rai Cho, Fujin, Kabal, and Stryker are already somewhat in the game and they stand a chance of being added to the list of combatants as well.

One last possible character that could be included is not in the current game at all, and he is none other than comic book superhero Spawn, according to Venture Capital Post. NetherRealm Studios reportedly has permission from Image Comics' Todd McFarlane to use Spawn in "Mortal Kombat X." Given the fact that Jason Voorhees and Predator are already in the game, Spawn would hardly look out of place there as a combatant.

At this point, all these are speculatory as NetherRealm Studios has yet to confirm that there will even be a second "Kombat Pack," but if one is on the way, then there are already some characters ready for their close-up.
