"Mortal Kombat X" fans were a bit disappointed when Evolution Championship Series (EVO) 2016 concluded without the game being mentioned. However, fans are still optimistic that changes will soon happen when the "Kombat Pack 3" downloadable content (DLC) arrives.

Hardcore fans of the game noticed that NetherRealm Studio, the game developer, is focusing the majority of its resources on its upcoming game, "Injustice 2." Excitement can be seen in Ed Boon, director of both games, who has been sharing news with the fans. He even teased the fans about the other characters arriving to their new fighting game, even mentioning that a DLC pack is already planned.

However, fans were surprised when Boon tweeted that they never intended to announce anything realated to "Mortal Kombat X" during the said event. He also added that big news will come out soon. "Never planned it for EVO. But there is big MKXL news coming."

While the announcement remains a mystery until now, fans are speculating that this has something to do with the upcoming DLC, "Kombat Pack3." Gamers are also expecting to see major changes inn two of its characters, Subzero and Tremor, which where the top two results for a poll conducted by Boo about characters that need some buffing. Subzero garnered 35 percent while Tremor received 31 percent of the vote, Parent Herald previously reported.

GameNGuide added that the developer will be halting its support for the PC version of the game. This means that the upcoming DLC will not be rolled out anymore to that platform. Gamers must switch then to gaming consoles in order to experience future updates.

Boon really wants fans to decide on the features or changes they want with the game. The latest survey on Twitter is another one of those polls asking fans on what they want to see most in the game, with the following options:

MKXL with GGPO for PC
ESL tournament Season 4
Balance / buff my fighter!

The results are as follows:

"Mortal Kombat X" is available for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Windows PC.
