"Mortal Kombat X" is already out in the market, and hardcore fans were not disappointed that the classic move that made the series a name in the gaming community is still included – the gory and visceral Fatality. The finishing moves are unique to each of the many characters included in the latest fighting game, and each pair of Fatalities still deliver the hurt-wrenching, eviscerated, grim finishing move that is a staple of every Kombater's fight.

There are two kinds of Fatalities in the game – the generic near and mid-range finishing moves that each player can tap to end the fight. There is also what some calls the Faction Kill Fatalities, which are much trickier to do since players have to be at a longer distance from the opponent, and time it so that the fight will end in a series of button taps once the 'Finish him' segment comes out. In this type of Fatality, there are five groups known so far – the Black Dragon, Brotherhood of Shadow, Lin Kuei, Special Forces, and White Lotus Fatalities.

Most fatalities generic fatalities are easy to do, as players only need to successively tap buttons corresponding to a character's fatality move in order to execute. For example, in the Playstation console, for Ermac's Inner Workings fatality, players would only need to tap Down, Up, Back. For Raiden's Bug Eyes, the buttons are Forward, Back, Forward, Square.

However, there are some who are new to the game and are not familiar at all with the successive button taps for the character's fatality finishing moves. Moreover, it takes some time to figure out all of the fatality moves of more than 30 characters playable in the game.

For those who wish to perform fatalities with just a button or two, there are available 'Easy Fatalities' bundles at the PSN and Xbox Live stores. The packages are listed in five- or 30-use bundles, and are available at $.99 and $4.99, respectively.
