A new patch released for "Mortal Kombat X" is making a ton of changes to the characters in the popular fighting game.

The changes are quite extensive, although they are relatively minor and have been made mostly to just better balance out the characters inside "Mortal Kombat X."

Some of the more notable changes outlined in the patch notes posted on WB forums include fixing a bug that would lead to Ermac staying in flight controls.

A bug fix to Goro also ensures that players can now choose the specific landing location they want for Krush. Predator has also been changed so that two Smart-Discs do not appear onscreen whenever he is used. The Kool Whip brutality for the Ronin version of Takeda has also been tweaked so that players will now be able to use it with greater consistency.

Other characters who are getting specific fixes via the latest patch include D'Vorah, Jacqui, Jax, Johnny Cage, Kano, Quan Chi, Reptile, Shinnok, Tanya, and Tremor.

As of now, the patch is already available for the PlayStation 4 version of "Mortal Kombat X," and it is also expected to be released for personal computer (PC) and Xbox One very soon.

In related news, after numerous rumors concerning the possibility of a new downloadable content (DLC) pack being released for "Mortal Kombat X," Warner Bros. recently confirmed that the game will indeed be receiving some new content by next year, Gamespot reported.

"Mortal Kombat X" will reportedly be receiving four new characters in 2016 on top of some new skins and even a new stage. Speculation has been rampant about who the new characters could be, with many suggesting that the new fighters could include non-playable characters (NPCs) already in the game.

As of now, the new content for "Mortal Kombat X" is expected to come out in the first half of next year.
