It seems that game publisher Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and developer NetherRealm Studios still have something up their sleeves when it comes to "Mortal Kombat X." According to teasers and hints from the developer, particularly from game co-creator Ed Boon, more news will be coming out next week as the next Kombat Kast livestream is already set to take place on Monday, Aug. 31, at 4 p.m. EST on the official NetherRealm Studios Twitch channel.

Although NetherRealm Studios has not presented concrete details on what the livestream will be all about, some observers are saying that the announcement will primarily focus on an upcoming patch update for "Mortal Kombat X." 

NetherRealm Studios has already releaesed several add-ons that greatly expanded the "Mortal Kombat X" title. From paid additional character Kombatants, to alternative Klassic skins for some iconic characters, the game continues to expand as the game progresses.

Meanwhile, those who are waiting for updates for the older-gen console versions of "Mortal Komabt X" might be disappointed. Recently, an announcement on the WB Games community page stated that "Mortal Kombat X" will not be released for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

According to the post by community admins Yorick and NRS-Lanny, "Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has come to the regrettable conclusion that we cannot release 'Mortal Kombat X' for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 ... We were not able to get the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions to the quality expected of a 'Mortal Kombat' game and are very sorry for not being able to deliver the products as originally planned."
