The rumored release of a new DLC for "Mortal Kombat X" might be happening soon, if the speculations will turn out to be true.

The speculations came out after the price of the popular fighting video game had been slashed off as part of Bundle Stars "Bundlefest" sale for PC games this September. The "Mortal Kombat X" Brutality Bundle is being sold for $16.99 for the Tier 1 package, which includes the main game as well as the other add-ons such as the Predator/Prey DLC, the Brazil Pack DLC, the Tanya DLC, the Klassic Pack DLC, and the Jason Voorhees DLC, among others.

On the other hand, the Tier 2 package is being sold for $19.99. It comes with all the contents of Tier 1 as well as all the Krypt items of the game.

This prompted more speculations that NetherRealm Studios is planning another content release for the latest installment of the "Mortal Kombat" game franchise. This could be the highly anticipated DLC that is expected to be called the "Mortal Kombat Pack 3."

NetherRealm last released the "Mortal Kombat XL" DLC for Xbox One and PlayStation 4 back in March. It contained the first two DLCs of the game, including the "Kombat Pack 1" that originally came out in March 2015, and the "Kombat Pack 2" that was released in September last year. The game developer turned silent about any plans for another DLC release after that.

Meanwhile, game co-creator Ed Boon revealed that a new gameplay patch for "Mortal Kombat X" is being developed. The studio is planning to release the patch in time for the launch of the "Mortal Kombat XL" DLC. However, Boon did not include the patch's release date.

More details about the rumored DLC for "Mortal Kombat X" are expected to be revealed before the year ends.
