'Mortal Kombat X' features: easier Fatalities

Hardcore gamers and fans of the "Mortal Kombat" franchise know that one of the most sought-after and memorable scenes for any game fight is the Fatality. Players are only given a limited amount of time, and those precious seconds should be used to get into a computed position and correctly press a series of buttons in order to initiate Fatality. Because the chance only lasts a few seconds, most players, especially those new to the game, fail to initiate a stunning finish and just concludes the fight with a simple punch or kick instead.

To help players finish each fight with an awesome, stunning and rich in graphics glory Fatality, developer NetherRealm Studios will introduce an easier Fatality feature for the upcoming "Mortal Kombat X" game.

During the most recent live stream from the company, it was confirmed that the feature will be integrated in-game for any fight scene, and that easier Fatalities can be done.

Speaking about whether the new skull icon seen on recent gameplay trailers for the game is related to the easy Fatality feature, community specialist Tyler Lansdown said, "Now, we've learned through years and years of study that there are a lot of people who just can't pull off Fatalities, or they get freaked out or they can't figure out the timing."

Lansdown further added that these icons can be unlocked, with certain game conditions, saying, "So you'll always have access to easy Fatalities -- if you want to use them."

Meanwhile, news has been confirmed in relation to the upcoming release of "Mortal Kombat X." According to NetherRealm Studios, Goro will not only come as a playable character for those who would pre-order the game; there are also plans to release a DLC pack focused exclusively on the fighter.

"Mortal Kombat X" will launch for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Windows PC on April 14. The versions for the older-gen Xbox 360 and PS3 have been delayed and will instead come out in summer.
