After months of waiting, PC gamers will finally be able to enjoy the enhancements and new additions that come with the improved version of "Mortal Kombat X," called "Mortal Kombat XL."

The latest patch for the PC version of the game was launched last week, but PC gamers probably want to know more about the update before purchasing it. Below is a rundown of what will be added with the patch along with the different changes that it will be making to the game's PC version.

The new update will be adding a wide array of changes to the game's existing characters, while also adding a few more characters via the "Kombat Pack 1" and the "Kombat Pack 2" downloadable content (DLC) expansions. According to the game's developers, majority of the changes will help make the gameplay more balanced and provide players with a better overall gaming experience. The large amount of changes that will be included is also apparent in the update's download size, which is a whopping 28 GB.

The update will essentially rebalance the entire gameplay and coding of the game while also bringing to it some improved graphics features for the PC version. The update will now include various widescreen support that will allow players to select the appropriate resolutions for their respective monitors. The update also includes a new Pit environment along with several skin packs.

As for the changes to the characters, almost all of the character's stats and movements have been changed in one way or another. Running for all characters also now costs more energy. Getting hit while running now also drains more energy than before. Other changes include tweaks to character's air attacks, armor, hurtboxes, and hurt regions.

"Mortal Kombat XL" is currently available for $39.99 for the PC. Those who already own the original "Mortal Kombat X" video game can download the patch and purchase the DLCs separately. "Kombat Pack 1" is available for $5, while "Kombat Pack 2" is priced at $10.
