After collaborating with Google to roll out the Nexus 6, Motorola is expected to announce something exciting on Feb. 25, 2015. While the following has not been confirmed, it is possible that the company will be making a surprise appearance at the Mobile World Congress, an event that is expected to kick off on Mar. 2, 2015. In order to reveal its mysterious product, the company will be sending media outlets a packaging in the form of a box with its contents classified. The box is expected to reach the door step of the recipients at the aforementioned date.

According to GSMArena, "everything you need fits inside one box" is the mysterious line that keeps being brought up, indicating that the company will most likely be working on introducing a new smartphone or a successor to the Moto 360 smartwatch. With Samsung and HTC unveiling their flagship offerings on Mar. 1, 2015 (which happens to be exactly one day before the commencement of the event), it can be speculated that Motorola will be attempting to usurp a major portion of the spotlight.

By allying itself with Google, both tech firms were able to release the Nexus 6, which happens to be a phablet successor of the popular Nexus 5. Although all products of the Nexus lineup are void of an expandable storage slot, the Nexus 6 features impressive hardware specifications. In addition, Motorola's DROID Maxx and DROID Turbo smartphones feature large capacity batteries coupled with performance enhanced internals.

Motorola's Moto 360 smartwatch was praised for its design, but it was severely criticized for possessing a small battery backup time, which required the user to plug it in every day to prevent it from going in to hibernation mode.
