In an early sample of the highly anticipated Moto 360 from Motorola, Italian blogger Luca Viscardi claimed that the battery of the smart watch lasted for approximately two and a half days. This battery capacity then definitely puts the Moto 360 ahead of the LG G Watch and the Samsung Gear Live. Both smart watches were recorded to run for only a day.

Apart from the impressive battery life, the Moto 360 will be functional on either wrist, which would work to the advantage of many left handed fans of the gadget. With respect to the straps of the smart watch, it may come in leather and metallic style.

An OLED display was also rumored to be used as the face of the Moto 360. Moreover, the face will be custom-made especially for the smart watch. More importantly, however, using OLED display will prove to be beneficial for a smart watch. In utilizing this display rather than the typical LED commonly used in other gadgets, the Moto 360 will be saving power. Consequently, this will mean longer battery life compared with other devices on the market.

Another interesting attribute of the Moto 360 is the fact that the smart watch can be used with other devices aside from Motorola gadgets. In designing a smart watch that does not exclusively cater to Motorola device users, Moto 360 has been reportedly made compatible with the latest Android OS 4.3, Android 4.4, and Android L. In this sense, the Moto 360 will be serviceable to Android-powered gadgets.

The Moto 360 will also be able to connect through Bluetooth 4.0. This announcement definitely caused speculations that the upcoming smart watch from Motorola will be exceptionally fast compared with its competitors. Apart from these, the Moto 360 could also come with sapphire glass. This material is said to be four times stronger than the usual Gorilla glass.

Another exciting feature of the gadget is its hassle-free charging. According to Motorola, the Moto 360 will be utilizing a wireless charging technology. Hence, users will be able to charge the smart watch without the USB-cable chargers. This innovation was made possible by the magnetic Qi induction technology utilized in the Moto 360.

To date, no official release date for the Moto 360 has been announced by Motorola. However, some reports claim that the gadget might make its debut in time for the 2014 holiday season.
