Moto 360 vs LG G Watch vs Samsung Gear Live: Which smartwatch best suits you?

If you are a person who just cannot live without any Android device within breathable distance, then you just need another device to augment your phone's accessibility – you need an Android watch.

Right now, there are three leading contenders to choose from. Since all of them are using the Android platform, there isn't any difference to talk about when it comes to the operating system.

The most important thing is of course to still look like a fashionable human being and not an Android sporting, well, an Android.

In terms of aesthetics, critics seem to be in agreement that Moto 360 is the leader with its classic round shape. As Phone Arena writes, it "provokes a 'nice watch!' reaction, instead of a 'hey, what's that thing on your wrist?'"

On the other hand, the two other options, i.e. LG G Watch and Samsung Gear Live, are your expectedly bulky square apparatuses that might look a tad too techy. But a review from Computer World favors Samsung's because it "has a silver metallic border that surrounds its display and leads down to its band. That makes it a bit more distinctive than the utterly understated G Watch, which is just a black rectangular screen on a nondescript black base."

Another thing worth considering is the fact that both LG's and Samsung's are both water and dust resistant.

Samsung is also planning to link its watch to its health apps, so if you are one who loves to monitor your heart rate every so often, then this watch might have the edge.

In terms of battery life, all three are said to have wireless-only charging mechanisms, and while Motorola has yet to specify its battery specs, the two others have promised to make their watches last for at least a day, and G can even last three days in an idle state.

Green Bot also states that LG's charger is the most convenient to use.

In terms of price, the Moto 360 is the most expensive at $249. LG G is also selling at $229 for pre-order in the play store, while Samsung Gear Live is already available on play store for just $199.99.
