Motorola had an amazing year in 2014, after successfully unveiling a number of devices under its belt such as the Moto X, the Moto DROID Turbo, the Moto G, the Moto E, as well as the wearable device called the Moto 360. These launches made Motorola climb back to the top of the ladder of the best mobile brands in the world. 

Among these devices, two stand out and they are worth checking out: the Moto DROID Turbo and the Moto X 2014 edition. 

Although the Moto DROID Turbo may not be readily available everywhere since it is an exclusively designed phone for U.S. network carrier Verizon, the mobile phone manufacturer came up with a similar device for mass release called the Moto Maxx. 

It has a 5.2-inch screen display and houses a Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 chipset and a quad-core 2.7 GHz Krait 450 processor. The company is proud to claim that its massive 3900 mAh battery could help make the device last for days without charging. It also has a Turbo Charging feature that speeds up the battery's recharging process. Its 21-megapixel primary camera and 2-megapixel front-facing shooter make it the perfect companion for taking photos. 

Currently, the Moto DROID Turbo is available under Verizon while Latin American countries can purchase the device under the Moto Maxx name. 

On the other hand, the 2014 edition of the 5.2-inch Moto X comes with a Qualcomm MSM8974AC Snapdragon 801 chipset and quad-core 2.5 GHz Krait 400 processor. Although its 2300 mAh battery is smaller, its affordable price tag actually makes up for it, along with its other features that are comparatively lower than those on high-end Moto products like the Moto DROID Turbo. 

Both the Motorola smartphones are doing well in the market today.
