Moto X 2016 release date: premium specs seen in latest leaks

Moto X 2016 from the Lenovo-owned company Motorola recently surfaced online and has become a hot topic once again. The newest member of Moto X smartphones, now rebranded Moto Z series, has been long rumored about. The smartphone that is about to land in the face of competition from other powerful brands such as Apple and Samsung is expected to make a good impression.

There were speculations that the phone would be named Moto Z but since Moto Z has already made its way to the market it has finally been named Motorola XT1650.

Probable specifications and features that the upcoming Moto X Phone may have, are making rounds in tech circles and a number of leaked features have appeared on the internet.

With regards to speed, agility, performance and storage the Moto X does really pack a punch. Eequipped with a 2.1 GHz Snapdragon 820 chipset powered by the quad-core processor with a clock speed up to 2.1GHz supported by a Qualcomm Adreno 530 CPU and 4GB worth of random access memory (RAM), it boasts 32 GB worth of internal storage capacity and also an external microSD card slot. 

It is listed to include a 5.5″ Touchscreen display with 2560×1440 pixel resolution with at least 5-finger gestures supported. It will grant buyers an opportunity to take great selfies with a standard 5-megapixel front camera in addition to a 12 MP main camera. The GFX Bench listing speculates that Moto X will have a dual-camera setup of 21 and 12 megapixels.

To the delight of photography enthusists, the camera feature also includes autofocus, face detection, flash, HDR photo and touch focus. All the apps are expected to run just fine on the phone that will run a pre-installed Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow.

Clearly Motorola is trying to win customers by packing the Moto X 2016 with several handy gadgets and network resources like an accelerometer, compass, GPS, gyroscope, heart rate sensor, light sensor, NFC and a pedometer.

There is however a downside to those who have gotten used to using two SIM cards in their phone for whatever reason, because owners can however use only one SIM on this phone.
