Lenovo is preparing to launch its first flagship entry with the Moto brand. Reportedly, the new flagship will be renamed the Moto Z and will come out with its own modular accessories. A photo of the so-called "MotoMods" have started circulating online.

Noted tipster and perennial leakster Evan Blass shared on Twitter some of the supposed modular accessories in the MotoMod lineup. While the image did not specify what the accessories are, some of the supposed add-ons look clear enough that their use can already be hinted at just at first glance.

Based on the image, one MotoMod modular add-on will function as a full camera lens, transforming the new Moto Z into a true point-and-shoot camera. While the camera setup featured on the Moto Z remains unconfirmed, it can be expected that the MotoMod module will have a different, upgraded lens assembly. Meanwhile, another accessory has what appears to be a recessed groove in the middle, and it seems to be a fingerprint sensor.

Pocket-Lint surmised that the leaked add-ons are the rumored hardware modules for the Moto Z, and the industry follower even named each one. Supposedly, the leaked MotoMod image points to the pico projector add-on, a JBL speaker MotoMod, and a Hasselblad camera module.

According to rumors, the new Moto Z lineup will get the idea of the modular design for the LG G5. However, instead of a removable bottom, the Moto Z iterations will have connectors on their backplates, and the MotoMod add-ons can be fitted right on the back of the device. The Moto Z lineup will also launch with at least two iterations, the same as the previous versions. Reportedly, the top-tier model is the Moto Z Style, with a Snadragon 820 chipset and a 5.5-inch Quad HD display. The Moto Z Play on the other hand, is the base model version with a 5.5-inch full HD screen and a Qualcomm processor, most likely a Snapdragon 625 SoC.
