The Moto X Pure Edition will be available for purchase starting Sept. 3, according to a deleted tweet directly from Motorola. Before the tweet could be erased, a screenshot of the announcement was already taken, confirming that it will be available early next month. 

The Moto X Pure Edition is an unlocked version of the Moto X Style and will be available via the official Motorola website, and also at Best Buy for $399.99. Being an unlocked phone, it will be able to run on any of the four major mobile carriers in the U.S. 

However, because it is not available at carrier stores such as Verizon, there will be no contract plan that will allow people to purchase it for a minimal down payment. Interested consumers will have to pay out the full $399 price, but it is a one-time payment compared to the 2- to 3-year lock-in plans that major carriers offer. 

One of the biggest improvements that the Pure Edition brings over the previous iterations of the Moto X is its upgraded camera and battery life. Motorola advertises its 21-MP camera, and according to one early review, it is now the second best phone camera in the market, right behind the Samsung Galaxy S6 and ahead of the Apple iPhone 6 Plus. 

The Moto X Pure Edition also features a 3000 mAh battery that supports Quick Charging, on which the phone can be charged from 0 to 50 percent in just thirty minutes. It also comes packed with a 25w TurboPower charger that can charge the battery up to 10 percent in just seven minutes, according to GottaBeMobile. 

The new Moto X will feature a 5.7-inch Quad HD display that supports 4K videos, and will be powered by a 6-core Snapdragon 808 processor and 3 GB of RAM. Total storage will come in three variants: 16 GB, 32 GB, and 64 GB. Users will also be able to expand storage space via microSD card. 

User interface will run on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop, although it is speculated that it will immediately support the upcoming Android M whenever the OS is released to the public.
