Motorola has recently launched two new additions to its lineup of flagship devices, the new Moto G and this year's edition of the Moto X. Moreover, the company has announced that it will be launching its new flagship devices directly to consumers.

Since the company has decided to launch its recent flagships directly to their fans, it will also be releasing a model fit for North American carriers. The Moto X Pure Edition, or the Moto X Style as it will be called globally, will be the flagship device for U.S. and Canada residents.

When Motorola launched its new flagships early this month, there was no specific release date for the Moto X other than "sometime in September." However, a recent announcement by the company has pegged the rollout date for the Pure Edition of the device.

In a recent tweet, Motorola confirmed that the Moto X Pure Edition will roll out for North American users on Sept. 3. It will retail for $399 at the start. The handset will also be released as a fully unlocked device, meaning it will work on major U.S. carriers such as AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, and Verizon. It has also been reported that the Pure Edition will have support for major Canadian telcos.

The Moto X Pure Edition is already the third generation in the Moto X series, and it features a 5.7-inch QHD LCD display, a Snapdragon 808 processor, and 3 GB of RAM. It will also ship out in 16-, 32-, and 64-GB storage variants, all expandable via microSD support. In addition, it will have a 21-MP main camera at the back, front-facing stereo speakers, a 3000 mAh battery with Turbo Charging option, and will come with Android Lollipop 5.1.1 right out of the box.
