After Motorola has released its Moto X, Samsung has been able to answer with an unquestionably much better Galaxy S5. So will the Motorola be able to rival Samsung with its newer model, the Moto X+1?

If we are to trust the leaks made available by the website Livraria Logos, the new android phone seems to have significantly improved its features. Compared to S5's 5.1-inch 1080 x 1920 pixels, the new phone is believed to have a full HD 1080p 5.2-inch display. Although, the camera might still be lagging behind, with only a 12-megapix rear camera, while S5's is 16 megapixels, it is set to have a 5-megapixel front facing camera, which is significantly better than S5's 2.1 megapixels.

Both have the same storage capacity of 32 GB storage, and both are also providing microSD card slot for memory expansion. The battery of the new Moto phone is believed to be slightly better at 2900 mAh, compared to Samsung's 2800 mAh.

The new Moto phone will also be slightly smaller (5.09 X 2.57 X 0.41 inches, compared to S5's 5.59 X 2.85 X 0.32 inches) and lighter (X+1 will only be 130 g, while S5 is 145 g).

However, analysis of the newer Moto phone fears that the touchless voice control seems to be absent from the leaked features of the new phone. Its predecessor has a natural language processor which allows users to throw in questions and commands without having to touch the phone, wake the phone, or even phrase a question in a particular way.

On the other hand, some critics think that S5's heart rate monitor is only a "niche feature," and it might be a tad more expensive compared to the other phones.

Given that Business Insider thinks that Motorola emphasizes the fact that Motorola is giving us "budget phones," and given that the difference in features between X+1 and S5 aren't too significant, people just might think twice about buying a more expensive phone, when there seems to be a fairly competitive and cheaper alternative available.
