Recently in July, Motorola unveiled two smartphones Moto X 2015 and Moto X Play, which are two impressive Android gadgets.

The latter device seems to have caught the attention of many consumers because it's affordable and it has excellent battery life apart from its awesome specs; unfortunately it won't be making its way to U.S. markets.

However, Motorola will still release a device in place of Moto X Play in the United States and it's in the form of Droid Turbo 2, which will be offered exclusively by Verizon Wireless.

Verizon is set to continue on the Droid Turbo series it launched last year, according to Phandroid, and rumor has it that the Droid Turbo 2 may look like Moto X Style and Moto X Play and the design material will most likely be the same.

According to Phandroid, the Droid Turbo 2 will also offer a unique feature described to be "an unbreakable display," and it remains to be seen what this feature really means.

While other specs have not been revealed in detail, it will most likely have the Moto X Style as the basis for the design, which means that the Droid Turbo 2 will likely have a 5.7-inch Quad HD screen running on a Snapdragon 808 processor, a 3 GB RAM, and a 21-megapixel camera. It will also likey be powered by 3,000mAH battery.

Phandroid also reported that its sources gave away that the Droid Turbo 2 will have a POLED display. Most devices use the traditional OLED displays, but a POLED display means that the device will carry smaller bezels and thinner displays, which are more flexible and resilient to damage.

As for the price, it is already expected that Droid Turbo 2 won't be that affordable compared to the Droid Maxx 2, which is also expected to be launched as a rebranded Moto X Play for U.S. markets.

Phandroid sources hinted that the Turbo 2 could cost around $600. As for the unveiling of this device, there's no formal announcement yet; but Costco's system had Turbo 2 on its list so it could be that the launch date won't be that far.

Droid Turbo launched back in October last year, so it is speculated that a Droid Turbo 2 will also be released on the same month this year.
