At least two new devices are likely to be revealed at a press event scheduled by Motorola and Verizon Wireless in New York City this coming Oct. 27.

Invites were sent out already, emphasizing on Droids; but from the looks of it, at least two new Motorola devices will be shown at the event, as noted by Droid Life.

The two devices in mention are the Motorola Droid Turbo 2 and the Droid Maxx 2. The design of the invite alone provides a possible glimpse of things to come, particularly the part about the devices coming with possibly shatter-proof glass displays.

Other than that, the specs and features of the Droid devices remain sketchy and fall on the rumor mill for now.

As far as the Motorola Droid Turbo 2 is concerned, the device is rumored to come with 5.5-inch (2560 x 1440 pixel) display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 SoC, 3 GB of RAM, a 2-megapixel main camera, a 5-megapixel front-facing camera, and a 3,760 mAh battery.

The Motorola Droid Turbo 2 is said to be making the international scene as well, although it will be known differently as the Moto X Force.

The Motorola Droid Maxx 2, on the other hand, will carry pretty much the same specs. There are expectations that it would have a rumored Snapdragon Qualcomm 615 processor and a slightly lower battery at 3,630 mAh. The Droid Maxx 2 is believed to be Verizon Wireless-exclusive version of the Moto X Play.

As far as the operating system that the two devices will carry, there is no word yet on whether both would be coming with Android 6.0 Marshmallow already or with Android 5.1.1 Lollipop out of the box.

The two Motorola devices seem pretty interesting, but equally curious is whether or not there will be more variants for customers to check out.

There could possibly be more than just the Droid Turbo 2 and Droid Maxx 2 coming out, so watch out for more updates on the Oct. 27 event in the coming days.
