The ensemble for "Mr. Robot" season 2 just got a whole lot bigger with the addition of four new stars scoring recurring roles in the award-winning drama-thriller.

"House of Cards" star Sandrine Holt was tapped to play the role of Evil Corp General Counsel Susan Jacobs, who "unsuspectingly fits into fsociety's plans."

Holt's entrance as Susan in "Mr. Robot" season 2 hints that the character will somewhat be an asset for the hacktivists' plans in taking down Evil Corp.

"National Treasures: Book of Secrets" star Michael Maize will play the role of an "off-balanced" Texas local named Lone Star in "Mr. Robot" season 2. Fans will see him frequently around Ray.

Speaking of Elliot's new confidante, "Mr. Robot" fans will get to know a former employee of his in the new season in the person of IT expert RT to be played by Luke Robertson.

The fourth star to grace "Mr. Robot" season 2 is Dorothi Fox, who was cast to play the role of Romero's "blunt, opinionated" mother Nell.

Apart from the aforementioned four, it has also been confirmed that Grace Gummer is joining the cast as well.

[Spoiler Alert!] It will certainly be interesting how these new characters will shake things up in "Mr. Robot" season 2. As for the Elliot himself, his relationship with Mr. Robot, who was revealed to be a figment of his imagination and a projection of his dead father, will be a central theme.

"Now that Elliot is aware [of the truth about Mr. Robot], that has opened the door. We're literally externalizing Elliot's mentality and his inner conflict, Mr. Robot being the other half of Elliot," series creator and executive producer Sam Esmail told Entertainment Weekly.

"In the first season, because Elliot wasn't aware, there was a mystery about who Mr. Robot was and what his real motivations were. Now we know, so what does that mean? What does Elliot really want?" he went on to explain.

Esmail also assured that "Mr. Robot" season 2 will be "very different" from the show's freshman run. Production for the new season is underway.
