Elliot speaks about the breadth of the true power of the people in the first trailer for "Mr. Robot" season 2. There's no new footage to see, but only hints of the massive changes in the hacker's world following the mind-blowing events in the acclaimed first season.

"You see it too, don't you? There are no guarantees anymore. No easy paths to follow. The future has never been less certain. They use that to scare us and keep us in line. Tell us we're powerless to do anything about it."

"Truth is: we have more power than they think," Elliot's voice says in the background as representations of his words are shown in the "Mr. Robot" season 2 clip, emphasizing that when people decide to do something and initiate, they can change the world.

From how the trailer was put together, Elliot's desire to break the status quo and fight the rich and corrupt is still as fiery as it was in the first season. Of course, in the life of the hacker, there will be more crises he will have to deal with in "Mr. Robot" season 2.

The clip also showed that the battle against the Evil Corp sees no end, at least not yet in "Mr. Robot" season 2 as Fsociety continues to take down the manipulative organization.

"Mr. Robot" creator Sam Esmail will also take the director's seat in the new season. He has teased previously that "Mr. Robot" season 2 will delve deeper into Elliot's psyche, his past and his crusades.

The focus will also be on data encryption and privacy this time, which Esmail believes is an extremely important issue that won't go away anytime soon. Through this approach, "Mr. Robot" season 2 will have fans asking if they truly have their rights to privacy or not.
