Filming for the third season of "Mr. Robot" is currently underway.

According to reports, filming signs for an untitled project are reportedly placed in New York City's White St. and Broadway.

The reports also mention that fans will meet several new characters in the upcoming season, including "Boardwalk Empire" alum Bobby Cannavale. He will portray the role of Irvin, a straightforward used car salesman.

Also, The Hollywood Reporter reveals that "The Magicians" star Rizwan Manji also signed for a recurring role for the third season of the psychological thriller. The actor will reportedly play the role of the character named Norm, the new partner of Dominique DiPierro (Grace Gummer) who will work with her to investigate the Five/Nine hack that successfully took down the powerful E Corp.

In the previous season, Dom almost cornered Elliot Alderson's (Rami Malek) sister Darlene (Carly Chaikin) in her search for the truth regarding the hacking activity that almost ended one of the world's biggest corporations.

But in an interview with Variety, series creator Sam Esmail revealed that Dom and Darlene's encounters will continue next season. "All of the storylines have been about these plans happening underneath all of our main characters without their knowledge," Esmail stated. "And it all paying off in the end. Dom says to her boss: her intention is to flip Darlene, to get the man in the middle, in this case, Tyrell. Season three, we're going to explore if and how that would be possible."

Esmail also revealed that all the mysteries that were set up in season 2 will be tied up in the upcoming season. "Trenton and Mobley their whereabouts being one of them," the series creator also said. "We find out they have gotten away, or so they think. And here comes Leon, who's definitely an agent of the Dark Army. His intentions remain to be seen. We'll definitely get into it in the third season."

USA Network is expected to launch the premiere episode of "Mr. Robot" season 3 sometime in October.
