A game for the popular Japanese manga "My Hero Academia" has been revealed to be in the works for video game company Bandai Namco. With the release of the game estimated to be within 2018, more and more teasers are popping up.

Bandai has recently shared with its fans an official Japanese website that they have put up for announcements related to the game. The website displays information about the game and what players can expect from it, especially its similarities and differences from the manga and the anime versions. A preview of the gameplay is also shown.

"Fight, for every justice. My Hero Academia appears as a battle action game where 'Quirks; collide," reads an excerpt from the website in English, as per Gematsu. "Experience diverse battles on PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch through realistic stage destruction by using superhuman powers called 'Quirks,' and take full advantage of the buildings and walls placed throughout the stage. Go Plus Ultra with My Hero Academia: One's Justice."

As the site is still assumably in progress, fans can expect to see more changes and updates in the coming months. So far, there are only two characters from the anime series that are confirmed to appear in the game: protagonist Izuku Midoriya and villain Tomura Shigaraki.

The "My Hero Academia" imagines a world where almost everyone is a superhero with traits called "Quirks." Given that this setting plays a big role in the series, fans might have to wait to see how they would implement this in the game. According to the website, that wait would not be too long.

More details about the game will be revealed on Dec. 16 and 17 during the Jump Fiesta 2018 at the Makuhari Messe. Bandai Namco will also be releasing a teaser trailer for the game. They are also giving away some free limited-edition posters of the anime if fans take a photo at the booth's photo spot.
