With fans antcipating the premiere date of the highly acclaimed Netflix series "Narcos," a report has spread that the second season will be delayed due to some issues Netflix is currently facing.

According to Vine Report, Roberto Escobar, the brother of the late Colombian drug kingpin Pablo Escobar, whom this show based on, is demanding $1 billion from Netflix for the content rights. Furthermore, it has been reported that Escobar has also been asking the company to give him a copy of the new season to ensure that it is historically accurate. He has been asking them for months, and now that he has not received any replies, he is now ready to take some legal action.

The reason for this is that Roberto Escobar claims that he should be the successor to the interest rights since he looked after his brother's accounts for the drug operation of the Medellin Cartel. He even wrote a letter to Netflix stating that their kin's rights are registered under Escobar Inc., a company that demands for their fair share of the adapted series's profits.

Newsweek interviewed Escobar, and he said that "Narcos" will be improved by sticking close to the historical facts: to recognize him as one of the leaders of the Medellin Cartel. He even went so far as to say that once he is recognized, he will help them edit the second season. Should Netflix decline his offer, he said that his lawyers are ready to make the necessary legal actions.

Even so, Escobar is still hopeful that he will be able to resolve this issue with Netflix. However, he made it clear that if the company is unwilling to talk to him, he will ensure that the show will not get a second season. Regardless, Netflix still has no comment on this matter, so fans are worried about the future of the show.
