|PIC1|Following the DVD release of The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe on April 4, the film easily topped the national DVD sales chart for the week ending April 9. First-day sales for Disney’s "Narnia" resulted in 4 million units.

The Narnia DVD is available with CBA distribution through EMI CMG, the package including outstanding bonus features and being sold as a Special Two-Disc Collector’s Edition DVD.

The Special Edition takes viewers on a deeper adventure into the world of Narnia with nearly ten hours of bonus features – including a behind-the-scenes tour with the film’s child stars, director’s diary, “cinematic storytellers” film diaries, multiple audio commentaries, 3-D map, interactive timeline, features on the creatures and much more.

|TOP|In other news, The “Inspired-By” Soundtrack (Music Inspired by The Chronicles of Narnia.) won the Special Event Album of the Year award at the 37th Annual GMA Music Awards. The awards ceremony, formerly called the "Dove Awards" was held at the Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville, Tennessee.

The success of the first Narnia sequel had naturally led on to the production plan of the next sequel, The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian. Narnia fans can expect the film to release next Christmas, 2007.

The film will once again be directed by Andrew Adamson. Currently, the location option of shooting Prince Caspian is being decided between Ireland and New Zealand.
