The "Naruto Shippuden" series took a one-week hiatus during the third week of June but episode 466, titled "The Tumultuous Journey," has now been available since June 30. As stated in a report from IBTimes, the episode focuses on the continued battle between the siblings Ashura and Indra as they compete to become the successor of Ninshu.

As stated in the report, Indra has proven to be the smarter sibling and has already developed an understanding of the creation of Jutsu. The past few episodes have also shown their father, Hagoromo, favoring Indra throughout the trials and this may lead to a bigger conflict when Ashura attempts to defeat Indra in the competition.

Yibada reports that the conflict between Indra and Ashura, the two ancestors to the Senju and Uchiha ninja clans, mirrors the conflict between Naruto and Sasuke to some degree and it is likely that the latter two will be facing off against both Indra and Ashura sometime later in the series.

Indra has also shown signs of being influenced by the Black Zetsu and this may cause Hagoromo to eventually choose Ashura despite Indra being the more talented ninja. Even Ashura noticed something different with Indra and this may reflect in their finale battle.

The report also points out that episode 467, titled "Ashura's Determination," will see Ashura win the competition and become the successor of Ninshu. If this proves true then episode 466 may function more as a filler episode instead of a substantial episode regarding plot and character development.

From the title of the next episode it is likely that Ashura will defeat Indra, causing the events that eventually lead to the present-day conflicts. The influence of Black Zetsu will also lead to the destruction and rebirth of the Uchiha clan, as has been revealed in the animated films.

"Naruto Shippuden" episode 467 will air on July 7.
