The anime adaptation of the highly popular manga series "Naruto Shippuden" is now on its final episodes, and the story's main protagonist and antagonist face off in one final battle. Both Naruto and Sasuke have been through a lot, but now they must face each other to finally put an end to their feud.

The upcoming episodes — episode 476 and episode 477 — will reportedly be aired back to back in a one-hour special that will most likely showcase different flashbacks and dialogue that will delve into their long-running conflict.

The upcoming new episodes — episode 476 titled "The Final Battle Part I" and episode 477 titled "Final Battle Part II" — will be showcasing the all out war between the two Leaf Village ninjas as they try to convince each other of their resolve. Naruto will be trying to convince Sasuke to give up his plans of revenge and to live amongst the Leaf ninjas once again.

One of the biggest concerns with fans, however, is the future of the anime series once Naruto and Sasuke finally resolve their conflict. Several reports have revealed that if the anime were to move forward with more episodes, they would likely showcase fillers that will tell the story of the different characters after the war.

One report reveals that the anime television series could be adapting the story of the "Naturo Hiden" novel series. While illustrated by Masashi Kishimoto, the series itself was written by entirely different authors whose focus was on the other characters in the series. The stories mainly focused on the future events of the village, which included the lives of Kakashi, Gaara, Sakura, and Shikamaru. It also featured Naruto's wedding and the birth of his son, Boruto.

The "Naruto Shippuden" episode 476 and episode 477 one-hour special is scheduled to air this Thursday, Sept 29, on Tokyo TV.
