Recent reports suggest that a new "Naruto" game will be released for smartphones within this year.

This game, called "Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Blazing," is rumored to be developed by CyberConnect 2 with Bandai Namco Entertainment as a collaboration. Also, according to Movie News Guide, the production of the game will be handled by Japanese internet media company GREE.

Bandai Namco even made a website exclusively for the purpose of showing off the upcoming free-to-play smartphone game in order to hype up the fans. While it's primarily in Japanese, the words "Coming Soon!" can be read without difficulties once the page is visited. Additionally, this website also shows its official Twitter account's latest posts, though again, the posts are written in Japanese.

Regardless, according to The Bit Bag, "Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Blazing" will be available for both Android and iOS devices. Despite this, there's still no confirmation as to whether or not this game will be released outside Japan just yet. Some speculations online state that it's possible, as an English trademark related to the game was made last year, which might hint at an English version release. But as long as the production team hasn't confirmed anything, international fans can only hope for its launch sometime soon.

It's actually possible that the reason for the creation of "Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Blazing" is to compete with the "One Piece" franchise. Currently, the latter has the game "One Piece: Burning Blood" and it has been receiving a lot of positive reviews in North America and Europe. It's available for PS Vita, PS 4 and Xbox One. As such, with the newest "Naruto" game's release, it's expected for it to get into a fierce competition with the game.
