'Nascar '16' release date expected in late 2016
Racing fans can expect "Nascar '16" to be made available sometime this year, although exactly when it will come out remains a mystery.
At this point, there are only a few things that are actually well-known about the upcoming racing game.
First off, it's believed that the publication of the game will in large part be handled by Dusenberry Martin Racing.
For those who may be unfamiliar with the company, it's worth noting that they have handled their fair share of racing titles before, even handling a significant load of the work that went into launching "Nascar '15."
Dusenberry Martin Racing has hinted that they will be working on the next Nascar-licensed racing game, although actual details about the upcoming title are scarce thus far.
In a letter published by Dusenberry Martin Racing president Ed Martin, he revealed that the company is working on a "new simulation game platform." He also revealed that the first game that makes full use of that technology will be released sometime in late 2016.
Martin ultimately stopped short of definitively saying in the letter that the upcoming game would be "Nascar '16," although he did reveal that the soon-to-be launched racing title would be playable on current generation consoles such as the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One as well as on personal computer (PC).
In a post on Dusenberry Martin Racing's website, Martin also revealed that the developer working on the upcoming console game has history working on other Nascar titles.
Racing fans can also look forward to new smartphone and tablet games bearing the Nascar name coming out this year, according to Martin.
One of the upcoming mobile games will be a follow-up to "Nascar Manager '15," while another title is expected to be a more straightforward racing simulator.
More news about "Nascar '16" and the other mobile titles should be made available as additional details begin to emerge.
