"Nashville" season 4 episode 17 will continue the struggle between Maddie (Lennon Stella) and her parents, Rayna (Connie Britton) and Deacon (Charles Esten). According to the synopsis from TV Guide, Rayna will get desperate enough to reach out to Teddy (Eric Close) to avoid the situation from escalating any further.

In the last episode, Maddie continued to rebel and revealed that she wanted to go with Cash (Jessy Schram), running away not only from home but also from her parents. In order to prevent the situation from reaching court, it will take some convincing from Teddy despite him already being locked up in jail.

As stated in a report from the IB Times, it is speculated that allowing Maddie some time to go out and enjoy freedom on the road would be the best way of convincing her to come back and stay. The synopsis for the episode reveals that touring is never an easy job and this will be experienced firsthand by Avery (Jonathan Jackson), Layla (Aubrey Peeples) and Juliette (Hayden Panettiere).

The synopsis reveals that while on the road, Juliette will be gaining Avery's attention using her newfound success and intimate advances toward him. Because of this, Layla will feel a tinge of jealousy, both personally and professionally and this is expected to make the trip all the more difficult to finish.

Juliette herself will feel a little jealousy as she is seen begging Avery to tell her if there is anything between him and Layla. She then asks Avery to give their relationship another chance and this might make the trio's trip even more awkward than it already is.

The third and last main plot for the episode involves Luke (Will Chase) using his appearance on a talk show to boost Will's (Chris Carmack) career, unsure if Luke's fans will support a gay artist.

"Nashville" season 4 episode 17 airs this April 27.
