Rayna (Connie Britton) will get in between her daughter and a career with a major record label in the upcoming episode of the ABC series "Nashville."

In "Unguarded Moments," TV Guide reports that Maddie (Lennon Stella) will be offered a contract to become a solo artist. Apparently, her decision to sing with Juliette (Hayden Panettiere) a couple of weeks ago paid off, as Sony will take notice of her skills. Maddie has wanted to be a professional singer for the longest time and now is her big break. Her mother, however, does not approve of the idea, as she feels a 16-year-old girl is much too young to be in a rowdy world.

Maddie will be livid with anger with Rayna's decision. In the promo released for episode 8, she can be seen shouting at her mother. Maddie thinks that Rayna is preventing her from doing the things that she loves. Rayna looks horrified at her daughter's outburst, as the younger woman declares that she cannot be stopped this time. Rayna is then seen asking for Deacon's (Charles Esten) help, as she needs a partner in this crisis with Maddie.

Meanwhile, things are also not going well with the other characters of the hit series. Luke (Will Chase) has to deal with his son's anger after the incident with Juliette. When Colt (Keean Johnson) told him he saw the country singer on the roof with Jeff (Oliver Hudson) before his death, Luke did not believe him. Now, he tries to regain Colt's trust after knowing his son is right all along. Will he succeed?

As for Gunnar (Sam Palladio), his life will turn topsy-turvy when his girlfriend makes a commotion during his tour with Scarlett (Clare Bowen). His roommate Avery (Jonathan Jackson), on the other hand, has resorted to singing jingles to make some cash for his baby.

"Nashville" season 4 airs Wednesdays at 10 p.m. EST on ABC.
