The next episode of the sixth season of "Nashville" will feature the city's newest boy band going out to look for a female singer to join their little collaboration.

According to a preview for the season's fifth episode, titled "Where the Night Goes," Gunnar Scott (Sam Palladio) is frustrated that he is always forced to sing the "high girly parts" in the new band that he formed with Will Lexington (Chris Carmack) and Avery Barkley (Jonathan Jackson).

"He's had enough of that, he's tired of doing the high harmonies," said actor Sam Palladio about his character.

As a way to get out of playing the role, Gunnar suggests to Will and Avery that they should find themselves a female singer that is "super talented, great to look at, and can sing high." "It's not the craziest idea," Will admitted.

The preview then showcases the trio stumbling upon a bar where they are immediately drawn to a female singer coming from inside.

"We hear this voice coming from the alley," said Carmack about the scene, adding, "and we follow it like rats to the Pied Piper."

Later on, the mystery singer introduces herself as Alana to the three men. It looks like Nashville's newest boy band just got a new member.

For those that might be out of the loop, Avery, Will, and Gunnar first got together as a band back in this season's episode 2, titled "Second Chances," after the three of them did an impromptu performance on stage one night. The morning after, the trio conceded that it was an enjoyable experience and that they should do it again.

They hit a bit of a rough patch during last week's episode, "That's My Story," but were luckily able to move past their arguments and disagreement and form together as a cohesive band, even topping off the episode with a performance of NSYNC's "Tearin' Up My Heart."

"Nashville" season 6 episode 5 will air on Thursday, Feb. 1, at 9 p.m. EST on CMT.
