NBA 2015 draft news, rumors: Frank Kaminsky on wishlist for Minnesota Timberwolves

The Minnesota Timberwolves are expected to be among the top five teams selecting in next month's NBA draft and it remains to be seen who they will pick. But one player in mention is Wisconsin Badgers center Frank Kaminsky who is the tallest player at the NBA Draft Combine.

However despite being the tallest, there is concern regarding Kaminsky's bulk. He weighs only 231 pounds and may find it hard posting up or jostling for position inside the paint against taller and buff centers who may easily push him around.

Kaminsky has made a good account for himself leading the Badgers to the NCAA Final Four in the last two years despite losing on both occasions. He also won National Player of the Year honors as a senior which makes him quite an interesting prospect. But would that be enough to land him inside the top ten?

Such is the question right now seeing that the Timberwolves may go for someone with better talent while on the top five. So how does Minnesota envision itself landing the lanky Badgers center who believes he could be gone by the 14th pick?

A trade could be in the works and there is word that Nikola Pekovic could be used as bait to make room for Kaminsky. If it materializaes, Kaminsky reinforces the present frontline of the T-Wolves led by Andrew Wiggins and Zach LaVine.

That give the T-Wolves a pretty decent frontline though it remains to be seen how the trio could stand up to teams with more seasoned players upfront.

For Kaminsky, bulking up will be a need. Height is good but in the NBA, a guy like Kaminsky is bound to get a lot of pushes and shoves.

Aside from the physical attributes, Kaminsky will need to develop consistency and poise.

Aside from the Timberwolves, other teams which could be considering Kaminsy are the Orlando Magic and the Phoenix Suns. On who get him (and keeps him?) remains to be seen.
