Forever etched in the minds of seasoned NBA fans is the timeless play and unparalleled greatness that emanated from the lethal, immaculate amalgamation of talents and skills in the potent 2008 Boston Celtics lineup. Avid basketball fans can't forget the combined power of the supreme trio — hall of famers Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce and Ray Allen — that worked in harmony without trying hard and led the team to win 66 regular season games and triumph over the Los Angeles Lakers in the championship. That is why 2K Sports is making all this eternal by including the legendary team to the Classic franchise mode of "NBA 2K16," the latest iteration of the most popular basketball simulation series in the field.

EA Sports and 2K revealed via the latest episode of "NBA 2KTV" that the 2008 Boston Celtics will be endowed with legendary status in the virtual gaming world together with the 1999-00 Toronto Raptors (headed by Vince Carter) and the 2000-01 Los Angeles Lakers.

In the same episode, it was revealed that "NBA 2K16" will have more realistic depictions of the players' sneakers, which are now something to look out for in the sport. 2K will be 3D-scanning the shoes, some belonging to Dwayne Wade, Klay Thompson, and possibly Jamal Crawford (BrandBlack).

In an effort to make every aspect of the game as realistic as it can get, 2K also recreated crowd animations to make them more realistic, eliciting a life-like atmosphere in the game. The title's gameplay is touted to be the "biggest and most challenging" so far.

EA is yet to determine a release date for the game. However, it is believed that the title will hit the shelves as early as the first week of October. Spike Lee is said to be involved in the career mode and that three players will be gracing the cover— Stephen Curry, James Harden, and Kevin Durant.
