"NBA 2K16" is shaping up to be the best game in its series yet, with developer 2K Sports' realistic renderings of basketball superstars, courts, and fans cheering from the bleachers. But the game studio doesn't stop there, with new word that college teams will be gracing the basketball simulation game as well.

According to Attack of the Fanboy, 2K Games has acquired license for 11 college basketball teams. This intel was mined by a user from the Collegiate Licensing Company website and was eventually shared via the Operation Sports forum.

These colleges, according to the tipster, are Arizona, Arizona State, Georgetown, Louisville, Michigan, Texas, UCLA, UCONN, Villanova, and Wisconsin. The eleventh college was not mentioned, though.

Pasta Padre adds weight that the college hoops will have something to do with "NBA 2K16." Looking at the covers closely, reports the site, fans will see the cover stars in their college uniforms. James Harden is seen wearing his Arizona basketball uniform in the background collage for his cover. Stephen Curry dons a Davidson gear while Anthony Davis wears Kentucky, although it isn't very visible.

Pasta Padre bets that should the college teams be infused in "NBA 2K16," they will be in the title's MyCareer mode, which will depict the journey of an NBA player aspirant by following his footsteps starting from his college hoops days.
