2K Sports will feature full body scans for "NBA 2K16," the next installment in its long-running NBA franchise.

Hardcore basketball fans and casual gamers alike are still marvelling at the enhanced graphics and improved gameplay in the current NBA game. However, just like other popular and long-running titles, fans cannot wait for the next installment to see what improvements it will bring to the table.

The upcoming "NBA 2K16" game will reportedly feature more advanced full body scans of players, a step up from the previous face scans made available for "NBA 2K15," and some NBA players already went through the body scanning process for the game's development.

According to tweets from different teams such as the Brooklyn Nets and Miami Heat, most of the players from their line-up have already gone to Pixel Gun Studio to have their bodies scanned for rendering, part of the development for the upcoming "NBA 2K16" project.

In addition, 2K Sports has teased hardcore fans that, to make the next title more exciting and challenging at the same time, not only will it offer better graphics and gameplay than its predecessor but it will also offer more advanced features.

In other related news, there seems to be three covers for the upcoming title. In leaked images reported by game industry observer Polygon, the upcoming hoops game will feature three athletes for its covers, namely Stephen Curry of Golden State, James Harden of Houston Rockets, and to reprise his role as the game cover for the title, Kevin Durant of Oklahoma City Thunders. The upcoming title has the tagline "Be the Story."

Additionally, the career mode for the upcoming game will get a cinematic boost, as "NBA 2K16" will reportedly be featured in collaboration with Oscar-nominated filmmaker Spike Lee.
