"NBA 2K17" is scheduled to launch for the Xbox One, PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3 before the end of September and reports reveal that 2K Games will be offering free locker codes before the game's release, allowing players to gain free bonuses lsuch as in-game currency and unlockable characters.

As of the moment, no official locker code has been released, although there are a few notable sources that claim to give locker codes for the game. iTech Post reveals one questionable source, NBA2K17codes.com. The site claims to give locker codes for the game, but there are no verifiable sources to prove its validity.

It is important for fans of the franchise to wait until 2K Games release their official list of locker codes that players can utilize instead of using questionable sources that may lead to their account getting banned or temporarily suspended.

It was also reported that the game is going to rely heavily on the statistics of the players from the 2015–2016 NBA season. This gives LeBron James, star player of the reigning champion the Cleveland Cavaliers, with a rating of 96, and he is the highest-rated player as of the moment.

Stephen Curry of the Golden State Warriors and MVP for two years in a row has a rating of 94. Kevin Durant, who had just moved over to the Golden State Warriors, has a rating of 93, and Chris Paul of the LA Clippers has a rating of 91. Draymond Green, Klay Thompson, and DeMarcus Cousins all have a rating of 90.

Given that the game will build on the system of past titles, the rating and roster of the teams and players will change to reflect the current NBA season. This means that the characters may be traded to other teams, and their overall performance rating may drop or increase depending on how their real-life counterparts do in real life.

"NBA 2K17" is scheduled to be released this Sept. 20.
