NBA All-Star Game 2015: New jersey design released by Adidas

Adidas unveiled the official 2015 NBA All-Star Game uniform designs for both the East and West teams on Tuesday. The sporting apparel company came up with surprisingly simple designs for the basketball jerseys, warm-up jackets, and other accessories that will be used for the upcoming All-Star Game compared to those that were released in the past years. This is Adidas' tribute to the style of New York City's basketball history.

New York will host this season's All-Star Game.

"It's simple and timeless," David Cho, the one responsible for NBA's partnership with the official on-court apparel brand, shared. "It's a nod to the history, culture and style of New York City basketball."

The uniform for NBA's special games features classic, simple, and timeless design that shows the signature elements of the city that also honors the five boroughs of New York. These elements come in the form of five stars that contain the representation of each of the five boroughs in the city, including Queens' Unisphere, Staten Island's Waves, Bronx's Vinyl Record, Manhattan's checkered taxi pattern, as well as Brooklyn's Brownstone bricks.

This is also the first time when the obvious team identifiers on the jersey will not be included. The players from the Eastern Conference will simply wear white jerseys with blue accessories, while those from the Western Conference will don black uniforms and red accessories.

Also, the back design of the new All-Star Game jerseys has been given a new treatment, as the first names will be sewn on top of the player's number while the surname will be sewn underneath it.

Adidas is very proud of its new design for the league's special basketball series.

"The NBA All-Star Game is a celebration of the host city and basketball culture, and this year we created our most detailed and sophisticated uniforms to date that pay homage to New York and All-Star weekend," Chris Grancio, Adidas' global basketball general manager, explained. "We took inspiration from all five boroughs, in addition to the rich basketball and cultural heritage of the city, to provide a memorable collection for players and fans."

The 2015 NBA All-Star Game will be held on Feb. 15, 2015 in New York City.
