With free agency getting underway on July 1, there is lots of speculation around LeBron James and whether he will find a new home away from the Cleveland Cavaliers. 

James has been expected for some time now to be leaving the Cavaliers in the summer.

According to The Big Lead, Lakers analyst Pete Zayas, of the Lakers Film Room, claims on the Under the Buss Podcast to have been told by several sources that James was moving over to the Lakes this summer. 

"I have had four different sources in the entertainment industry, none of them been basketball people ... LeBron is coming [to the Lakers with Paul George] he has had to put X, Y, and Z in motion from a marketing standpoint," he said. 

According to CBS Sports, George has one year remaining on his contract but is expected to opt out to join the free agency in the summer.

ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski said in an NBA Draft special on ESPN, that discussions were set to take place between James and Paul George over a joint move to the Lakers.

"That's gonna be a conversation or conversations [George and James] are gonna have once we get toward July," Wojnarowski said.

He added: "Oklahoma City's done a great job of selling him on a future there, and he liked playing with Russell Westbrook and Steven Adams and Billy Donovan.

"They have a real opportunity to keep him, but the Lakers are home. He grew up in L.A., and when he left Indiana his plan was that he would be in L.A. in a year. So you have to credit Oklahoma City for really turning his head on that."

NJ.com noted that even if James and George were to move to the Lakers, the team would still be weaker than the Warriors and the Houston Rockets. 

The Lakers are certainly the favorites in terms of a new home for James, but they are not the only option for the player. 

USA Today says the Philadelphia 76ers may use the free agency season to pick up James after letting go of president Bryan Colangelo following a recent social media scandal.

Ira Winderman, who covers Miami Heat for the South Florida Sun Sentine newspaper, is wondering the same thing.  He tweeted: "So LeBron's season just about done, 76ers about to part with Colangelo, and David Griffin still available. Connect the dots."
