The prospect of seeing the Minnesota Timberwolves with top picks for three years may not happen if there is any team who would take in Anthony Bennett before the 2015 NBA Draft.

This is a result of the latest news that the T-Wolves are reportedly placing the 2013 top pick on the trading block, a move which seems to be hinting that the T-Wolves are making room for the entry of another big man – Karl-Anthony Towns.

The T-Wolves will be selecting first on June 25, and the word out is that the team has already informed the former University of Kentucky standout that he will be this year's top pick.

Bennett was acquired along with Andrew Wiggins last year in a multiplayer trade to move Kevin Love to the Cleveland Cavaliers.

He was a big disappointment despite being the top rookie pick of 2013 and has since hardly made any noise. He had spent a lot of time on the bench during his Cleveland Cavaliers days and hardly made an impression with the Timberwolves.

Prior to his trade last year, the Cavs did report marked improvement for Bennett, shedding of excess pounds and getting himself back into shape. Unfortunately, any of those said changes hardly showed last season as he continued to grope for form.

Bennett's NBA career continues its spiralling trend despite the fact that he made quite an impression back in college. Bennet was known best remembered a versatile forward who could play both positions and score.

The Cavs weren't able to see that since his entry in 2013 while the Mavs felt that only once in February. Bennett registered a career-high 20 points in a loss to the San Antonio Spurs.

The question out in the open right now is who would gamble on the 22-year-old forward. He could be a good project player or backup.

The likely scenario is that Bennett could gain interest after the NBA Free Agency period next month. Unless there is a team right now in dire straits and open to gambling with the 6-foot-8 forward.
